After Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday announced his decision to step down from party's top post, his supporters started protesting against his decision.






Leaders of NCP tried to persuade Sharad Pawar. "I am resigning from the post of the national president of NCP," Sharad Pawar said. Pawar also announced that a four-member committee will now decide who the next president of the party will be. Meanwhile, his nephew Ajit Pawar has said that he would abide by the decision of the NCP committee on his resignation.






Amid the protests by party workers, Sharad Pawar said, "Let us all work together, but accept my resignation".NCP leader Jayant Patil broke down after Sharad Pawar announced that he will step down as party president.
