Punjab: Pro-Khalistan Slogans Scribbled On Walls In Jalandhar Ahead Of Kejriwal & Mann Visit
The incident comes ahead of Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s visit to Jalandhar on Wednesday.
Punjab police said on Wednesday that the walls near Jalandhar Shakti Peeth, Devi Talab Mandir in Jalandhar were scrawled with Pro-Khalistani slogans, news agency ANI reported. The police said, “We're checking CCTV footage to find out who wrote the slogans.”
The incident comes ahead of Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s visit to Jalandhar on Wednesday.
Both the CMs are scheduled to visit Jalandhar today at 1 pm to flag off the fleet of super deluxe Volvo buses to Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi from ISBT Jalandhar.

AAP chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang on Saturday said the AAP government has already taken many decisions to end liquor, sand mafias, and supply of drugs in the state.
“Now transport mafia will also be a thing of the past as party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal accompanied by CM Mann will flag off Volvo buses on June 15,” Kang said, news agency PTI reported.
Chief Minister Mann on Friday had announced to start of luxurious Volvo buses from Punjab to the Delhi airport.
Mann had also said that for decades only private transporters had run their buses on this route and “looted the people by charging according to their own whims and fancies,” PTI reported.
Meanwhile, the Punjab police asked the residents of areas near Jalandhar ISBT to deposit their licensed weapons on Wednesday.
