New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, is scheduled to visit the party's national convener Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi's Tihar Jail on Wednesday, according to party sources. The meeting comes after Mann sought permission from the Tihar Jail administration to meet Kejriwal. Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) last month, in connection with a money laundering case linked to the excise policy, has drawn significant attention.
The ED took Kejriwal into custody on March 21 following the high court's refusal to grant him protection from coercive action by the federal anti-money laundering agency, reported PTI. The case revolves around allegations of corruption and money laundering related to the formulation and execution of Delhi government's excise policy for the fiscal year 2021-22, that was later scrapped.
Arvind Kejriwal was remanded to judicial custody on April 1 after his custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) expired. Despite Kejriwal's petition challenging his arrest in the money laundering case stemming from the alleged excise scam, the Delhi High Court dismissed it on Tuesday, stating no contravention of legal provisions.

Kejriwal had besides his arrest also challenged his subsequent remand in the Enforcement Directorate's custody, which the court said was not illegal.
AAP To Move SC
Senior AAP leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said that the party didn't agree with the Delhi HC's decision and will go to the Supreme Court.
"We do not agree with the court's decision today. We will go to the Supreme Court against it," Saurabh Bhardwaj said after the HC dismissed Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest.
Saurabh Bharadwaj said that they are hopeful the Supreme Court will provide relief to Kejriwal in the same way it granted bail to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh recently
