Pune Porsche Accident: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta Fadnavis on Wednesday took to her X account, demanding strict punishemnt for the culprit, Vedant Agarwal.


"My heartfelt condolences to  families of Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Kostha. The culprit Vedant Agarwal should be hard punished! Shame on Juvenile Justice Board!" Amruta Fadnavis wrote on X.






The 17-year-old boy was granted bail hours after he killed two IT professionals with his speeding Porche in Pune, allegedly under the influence of alcohol.


The Juvenile Justice Board had granted him bail on a condition that he would work with the traffic police in Yerwada for 15 days and write a 300-word essay on road accidents.



Following the incident, the parents of the deceased duo, who were travelling on a bike on Sunday morning in Pune's Kalyani Nagar area, demanded action against the culprit.


The decased girl's (Ashwini) father expressed his anguish over the minor gettin bail from the juvenile court and stated that he was shocked that the accused was released so easily.


Anish's family, the boy who lost his life in the accident, also expressed similar sentiments, seeking justice for their son.


Amid this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reacted to the road accident and the release of the accused. 


Rahul Gandhi questioned why the truck,bus, and Uber drivers are not given bail on the condition of writing essays.


He also attacked PM Modi for the incident and added that the question is of justice and both poor and the rich are entitled to receive justice.


Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis also called for stringent action in the case.
