Pune: In a bizarre incident, a young apparently drunk woman rolled around and slept on the busy Tilak Road in Pune, Maharashtra, on Tuesday night and disrupted traffic for some time.

The woman was later seen lying on the road, thereby disrupting vehicular movement. She, however, got up and went away as the cops from the Swargate Police Station arrived on the spot.

"The incident took place near Hirabaug around 11 pm on Tuesday. We received a call from some people that a woman was creating a scene on the road. However, when she saw police personnel approaching her, she got up and went away,” PTI quoted Balasaheb Kopnar, Senior Inspector, Swargate Police Station, as saying.

He added that no case has yet been registered in connection with this incident.

The police have launched a search to nab the woman whose identity is not yet known.
