Kejriwal also shed light on the increasing cases of violence and rapes in the national capital and requested the Centre government to provide help in managing the law and order in Delhi.

The minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by a priest and three other men in the Cantonment area of the national capital on August 1, triggering widespread outrage across the country.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also met the victim's family.

“I spoke with the family... they want justice and nothing else. They're saying justice is not being given to them and that they should be helped. We will do that. I said 'I am standing with you. Rahul Gandhi is standing with them until they get justice'," Gandhi told news agency ANI.

"Dalit's child is also the nation's daughter," he tweeted in Hindi with the screenshot of a news report of the incident.

On August 2, Police arrested four suspects including the priest after the victim’s mother identified them. The accused have been charged under sections 376 (rape), 302 (murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 204 (destruction of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the SC/ST Act.
