Priyanka Gandhi Pays Tribute To Rajiv Gandhi On Birth Anniversary With 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai' Song

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Sunday remembered her father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 79th birth anniversary. 

New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Sunday remembered her father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 79th birth anniversary. 
 
Taking to social media platform X, Priyanka dedicated the song 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai' to her father. Sharing the lyrics of the song, she wrote, "These lines always remind me of you, and till date, whenever I hear this song, tears well up in my eyes."

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who is on a four-day tour to Ladakh paid tribute to Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary from the banks of Pangong Tso in Ladakh. 

“Papa, the dreams you had for India are shown from these priceless memories. Your mark is my way – understanding the struggles and dreams of every Indian, listening to the voice of Mother India,” he said in a post on ‘X’ formally Twitter.

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra paid homage to the former Prime Minister, at Veer Bhumi in Delhi.

Rajiv Gandhi became India’s youngest Prime Minister at the age of 40 when he took over the charge of the Congress in 1984 following the assassination of his mother and then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
