Priyanka Gandhi on Farm Laws: In his address to the nation yesterday, PM Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of the three new agricultural laws. Today, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi held a press conference to discuss the Modi Government's decision.


While welcoming the government's decision, Priyanka has demanded the government to provide justice to the families of farmers who were killed during the car rampage in Lakhimpur Kheri in UP.


Priyanka further said, "If your intention towards farmers is clear, then do not sit with Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni at the Director-General of Police's conference in Lucknow today. To give justice, you should sack Ajay Mishra, Minister of State for Home."


Priyanka demanded that the government withdraw the ongoing cases against all the farmers and give financial help to the families of the victims.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced the government's decision to repeal the three new agricultural laws. These are the same laws the farmers have been protesting over since last year. He has also appealed the farmers to end their protest and return home.


Addressing the nation on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti on Friday, Prime Minister Modi said that these laws were for the benefit of farmers but he would like to apologize to the people for not being able to persuade a section of farmers to accept these laws.
