New Delhi: A Learjet private aircraft with eight people onboard skidded off the runway at Mumbai airport on Thursday. There were 6 passengers and 2 crew members on board. 


According to ANI, all eight flyers have been injured and were rushed to the hospital. 









The runway is now open for operations after all safety checks were conducted. "The Runway is now open for operations post DGCA clearance at 18:47 after all safety checks were conducted. We request all passengers, to connect with their respective airline and check the schedule before leaving their homes," Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) tweeted.













The VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL operating flight from Visakhapatnam to Mumbai veered off while landing on runway 27 at Mumbai airport. No casualties have been reported as of now.


"VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL operating flight from Visakhapatnam to Mumbai was involved in runway excursion (veer off) while landing on runway 27 at Mumbai airport," aviation regulator DGCA confirmed DGCA.






"There were 6 passengers and 2 crew members on board. Visibility was 700m with heavy rain. No casualties reported as of now," it further said.


In a statement, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport spokesperson said, "On 14.09.2023, M/s VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL operating flight from Vizag to Mumbai with 06 passengers and 02 crew members on board, veered off the runway at Mumbai International Airport. The incident occurred at approximately 17:08 PM today."


"There are no casualties. CSMIA’s airside team is on-ground to assist with the clearance on-site," the spokesperson added.
