New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a webinar on ‘Technology-led development’ today. In the webinar, the Prime Minister will outline action points for implementing the provisions made for this sector in the Union Budget.
The Prime Minister’s address will be followed by four theme-based sub-sessions by the Department of Telecommunications, the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Department of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, a statement issued by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said.
People can listen to structured deliberations on budget-induced interventions in the Post-Budget Webinar today at Digital India’s youtube channel. The webinar will start at 10 am IST.
The webinar is a part of a series organised by the government in various sectors to facilitate efficient implementation of the announcements made in the Union Budget. Secretaries and Ministers of the above-mentioned departments will discuss the working points of the sub-sessions and finalise the further strategy towards implementation, in the third part of the webinar.
The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA), along with various Ministries and Departments related to the science sector, will organise the webinar.
Modi will address the Plenary 1 or inaugural session of the webinar. This will be followed by four thematic breakaway sessions in the second part of the webinar. According to the statement, the thematic sessions will be led, one each, by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), and Department of Science and Technology (DST).
In the third part of the webinar, Secretaries and Ministers of the above Departments will discuss action points from the breakaway sessions, and will chart the way ahead towards implementation.
