New Delhi: Nation is remembering Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 126th birth anniversary. Marking the occasion, India is observing 'Parakram Diwas' on Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the nation on the occasion and recalled Netaji's unparalleled contribution to India’s history.
PM Modi tweeted, "Today, on Parakram Diwas, I pay homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and recall his unparalleled contribution to India’s history. He will be remembered for his fierce resistance to colonial rule. Deeply influenced by his thoughts, we are working to realise his vision for India."
Unione Home Minister Amit Shah greeted countrymen on Parakram Diwas adding that the entire country salutes Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's courage and struggle.
He said on Twitter, "With his unique leadership ability, Netaji organised the people and organized an armed movement for freedom by forming 'Azad Hind Fauj'. The whole country salutes his courage and struggle. Today, remembering Netaji on his 126th birth anniversary, I extend greetings to the countrymen on 'Parakram Diwas'. #NationSalutesNetaji."
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also took to Twitter to extend his greetings on the day. He said, "I remember and bow down to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary. He is such a great hero of the Indian freedom struggle who showed the height of bravery and bravery to free Mother India from slavery. Future generations of India will also continue to draw inspiration from Netaji."
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that Netaji's slogans of "Jai Hind" and "You give me blood, I will give you freedom" awakened everyone for true dedication towards the motherland.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that Netaji's courage and patriotism still inspire every Indian to protect country's freedom.
He tweeted lines from a patriotic song and said, "My humble tributes to the great freedom fighter, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, whose courage and patriotism still inspires every Indian to protect and preserve the freedom of our great country."
