A man in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam has been accused of killing his wife, seven-year-old son, and four-year-old daughter. He then buried the bodies in the compound of his house, said police on Sunday, reported news agency PTI. The police added that the bodies were dug up on Sunday evening, nearly two months after he killed them, during that time he lived in the same house without arousing any suspicion at all.

Ratlam Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari, while talking to reporters, said that the incident came to light after some people realised that the accused's family members were missing. The accused was then questioned about the missing people. That was when he finally confessed to killing them. The bodies were dug up in the presence of doctors and forensic experts, said Tiwari.

Last week, the Madhya Pradesh Police claimed to have solved a murder case within 48 hours. The victim, 35-year-old Dilip Patidar from Badnawar, was allegedly murdered by his wife, with the help of her paramour and another aide, reported Free Press Journal. The police said she committed the crime after her husband got to know of her affair and confronted her. She allegedly conspired with the co-accused and smashed Dilip's head with a rock.
