New Delhi: An eight-year-old boy from Pakistan occupied Kashmir has been detained after he accidentally crossed the border to come to this side of the LoC in Jammu Kashmir's Poonch.
The boy was found by troops guarding the LoC in the Digwar sector last night. He was handed over to the local police station this morning.
As per the officials, the boy had accidentally crossed the border and will be sent back after the legal formalities are dealt with.
According to local media reports, the boy’s name is Mohammed Abdullah.
As per the claims of the child, some eight people tempted him to go to the border. They went along with him to the border but ran away abandoning him there.
On June 15, two Pakistani nationals were taken into custody by BSF troops along the International Border in Samba district but handed over to Pakistani Rangers the next day after it was confirmed that they had inadvertently crossed the border.
