PM Modi in Goa: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Goa on Tuesday where he will unveil several important projects and initiatives aimed at bolstering India's energy sector and promoting comprehensive development in the region. He will inaugurate India Energy Week 2024, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs. 1330 crores in the Viksit Goa 2047 program, and also inaugurate the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology Goa.

- 10:30 AM: Inauguration of ONGC Sea Survival Centre
- 10:45 AM: Inauguration of India Energy Week 2024

The day's agenda kicks off at 10:30 AM, as the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate the ONGC Sea Survival Centre. Developed as a cutting-edge Integrated Sea Survival Training Centre, this facility is set to elevate India's sea survival training ecosystem to global standards, with the capacity to train 10,000-15,000 personnel annually, according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
PM Modi To Inaugurate India Energy Week 2024
Following this, at 10:45 AM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate India Energy Week 2024 amid the government's commitment to achieving self-reliance in energy requirements. The event, scheduled from 6th to 9th February in Goa, is poised to be India's largest and only comprehensive energy exhibition and conference. "It will be India’s largest and only all-encompassing energy exhibition and conference, bringing together the entire energy value chain, and will serve as a catalyst for India's energy transition goals. Prime Minister will hold a roundtable with Global oil & gas CEOs and experts," the PMO stated.
The week-long event is anticipated to witness the participation of 17 energy ministers from various countries, with over 35,000 attendees and 900 exhibitors. Notably, six dedicated country pavilions from Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, UK, and USA, along with a Make in India Pavilion, will showcase groundbreaking solutions by Indian MSMEs, according to the release.

PM Modi At Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047
In the afternoon, at 2:45 PM, Prime Minister Modi will partake in the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047 programme, inaugurating projects worth over Rs. 1330 crores. Among these projects is the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology Goa, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater to the academic and residential needs of students, faculty, and staff.
The Prime Minister will also dedicate the new campus of the National Institute of Watersports, offering 28 tailor-made courses to foster the development of watersports and water rescue activities. Additionally, he will inaugurate a 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility in South Goa, designed for the scientific treatment of wet and dry waste, featuring a 500 KW solar power plant, the PMO informed.
"Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Passenger Ropeway, along with associated tourism activities, connecting Panaji and Reis Magos. Foundation stone for the construction of a 100 MLD Water Treatment Plant in South Goa will be laid by him," it stated.
As part of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will distribute appointment orders to 1930 new government recruits under Rozgar Mela and hand over sanction letters to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.
