Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday is scheduled to visit two important cities of Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur and his constitutency Varanasi as Bharatiya Janata Party prepares itself for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Ahead of his UP visit, Modi will reach Chhattisgarh's Raipur where he will lay the foundation stone for three National Highway projects for the Chhattisgarh section of the 6-lane greenfield Raipur-Visakhapatnam corridor.
The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the doubling of the 103-km Raipur-Khariar Road Rail Line, constructed at a cost of Rs 750 crore. He will also dedicate to the nation the bottling plant of Indian Oil Corporation with a capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes per annum at Korba built at a cost of over Rs 130 crore.
During his Raipur visit, Modi will also distribute 75 lakh cards to benficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
PM Modi Gorakhpur Visit
At around 2:30 pm, Modi will reach Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur where he will attend the centennary ceremony of Gita Press. He will release the pictorial Shiva Purana Granth and will also visit Leela Chitra Mandir.
Prime Minister will flag off two Vande Bharat trains from Gorakhpur Railway Station: Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express and Jodhpur-Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) Vande Bharat Express.
He will also lay the foundation stone for redevelopment of Gorakhpur Railway Station. The station will be redeveloped at a cost of around Rs 498 crore, which will provide world class passenger amenities.
PM Modi Varanasi Visit
The Prime Minister will reach his constituency at around 5 in the evening where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects worth over Rs 12,100 crore during a public event.
In Varanasi, Modi will inaugurate the Dedicated Freight Corridor between Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction-Sone Nagar Railway Line and will also dedicate four-laning of Varanasi-Jaunpur section of NH-56.
