Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on September 29-30 where he will lay foundation stone of projects worth around Rs 29,000 spread across Surat, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad and Ambaji. The projects are aimed at developing world-class infrastructure, enhance mobility and significantly improve ease of living in the state, said the Prime Ministers Office in a statement Tuesday.


On the first day (September 29) of his visit, at around 11 am the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate various projects worth more than Rs 3,400 crore in Surat. From there the PM will travel to Bhavnagar where he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple developmental initiatives worth over Rs 5,200 crore. At around 7 PM, Prime Minister will inaugurate the 36th National Games at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. And at around 9 PM, he will attend the Navratri Festival at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad, the PMO statement read.


On September 30, the Prime minister will inaugurate Phase-I of Ahmedabad Metro project & flag off Gandhinagar-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express. He is also expected to take a ride in Vande Bharat Express & Ahmedabad Metro during his two-day visit to the state, the statement read further. 


On the same day, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate various projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore in Ambaji. At around 7 PM, He will perform Darshan and Pooja at Ambaji Temple. Thereafter, at around 7:45 PM, he will attend Maha Aarti at Gabbar Tirtha, according to the PMO statement.


During his visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 5,200 crore in Bhavnagar. He will lay the foundation stone of the World’s First CNG Terminal and of brownfield port at Bhavnagar that will be built at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore, and will have state of the art infrastructure.
