An all-party meeting has been called by the government, under the chairmanship of PM Modi, before the start of the winter session of Parliament. This meeting will take place on Sunday to discuss the agenda for the upcoming winter session.

House leaders of all political parties have been invited to attend the meeting in both the Houses of Parliament. Apart from PM Modi in the meeting, senior Union Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also participate on behalf of the government.

Such meetings are often called before the start of the parliament session to discuss the agenda and ensure smooth functioning of the actual parliament session.

Why Is The Winter Parliament Session Important?

The government will introduce The Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 to withdraw three controversial farm laws. There can be fierce opinions in favor and opposition on this bill. The opposition also wants to discuss the repeal of farm laws in the parliament. It is a politically intense situation as there has been much talked about the farm laws outside the parliament, it will be interesting to see what is being said inside.

In this session of Parliament, the opposition can also raise the issue of phone tapping with Pegasus spyware.

Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu has also called a meeting of the Leaders of the Houses of Political Parties in the Upper House of Parliament on Sunday evening. The opposition is trying its best to keep the government on the back foot, while all the strategies are being made by the government to break the opposition strategies.

The winter session starts on Monday, November 29, and will go on till December 23.
