PM Narendra Modi is in Kedarnath Dham today. This morning, Modi visited Baba Kedar and offered prayers. Addressing the people of Kedarnath Dham, Modi said that all of you are witnessing the restoration of Adi Shankaracharya ji's samadhi. It is a sublime view of India's spiritual prosperity and vastness. Today, all the monasteries, 12 Jyotirlingas, many Shivalayas, Shakti Dhams, distinguished great men of the country on many pilgrimage areas, all senior rishis, wise men and many devotees associated with the revered Shankaracharya tradition are also blessing us with this holy land of Kedarnath from all corners of the country.

Modi further said that in our Upanishads, Adi Shankaracharya ji's works have used the term 'Neti-Neti' at many places to give a description of an emotional world. Even when we look at Ramcharit Manas also, it conveys the same emotion in a different way.
I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at the time of Uttarakhand disaster in 2013, but I came running here, Modi said. I saw the devastation and pain with my eyes. Those who used to come here wondered if our Kedarnath Dham would rise again. But a voice inside me said that it would stand even more gracefully and stronger than before.
My faith was due to Baba Kedar, due to the meditation of Adi Shankara, and because of the penance of the saints.
PM Modi also unveiled a 12 feet statue of Sr Adi Shankaracharya.
