Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January. Speaking at a public gathering, CM Adityanath highlighted the ongoing development projects in Ayodhya, amounting to Rs 32,000 crore, which, he claimed, surpass the scale of any other city in the country. The Chief Minister expressed his vision of transforming Ayodhya into one of the most magnificent cities in the world, aiming to elevate its global prominence, reported news agency PTI.
Adityanath highlighted the significance of the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla, representing Lord Ram in his five-year-old form, which has been long awaited for over 500 years. He believed that this milestone would enhance Ayodhya's importance on a global level. Confirming the Prime Minister's attendance at the event, Adityanath acknowledged the profound connection Ayodhya holds in the hearts of millions, stating that the construction of the temple symbolizes their unwavering devotion and faith. These statements were made during a program commemorating the nine-year anniversary of the Modi government.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister set a goal of lighting 21 lakh lamps during the upcoming Deepotsav festival and urged every household in Ayodhya, as well as the ghats, math-linked temples, Suryakund, and Bharat Kund, to participate in this grand illumination. Adityanath emphasized that preparations for this celebration should commence immediately, as it would set the stage for Lord Ram's arrival to his sacred abode next year.
According to PTI, CM Adityanath also highlighted the government's efforts to improve Ayodhya's infrastructure, comparing the city's roads to Delhi's well-known Kartavya Path in the next four to six months. He mentioned the significant improvement in transportation, as the journey from Gorakhpur and Lucknow to Ayodhya, which previously took several hours, can now be completed in just one hour.
Drawing inspiration from the Ramayana, CM Adityanath revealed plans for an upcoming flight service in Ayodhya, drawing a parallel to the legendary Pushpak Viman used by Lord Ram to arrive in the city after his triumph over Lanka.
Describing Ayodhya as an epitome of prosperity, Adityanath likened it to the idealistic kingdom of Ramrajya from the mythical 'Treta Yug' era. He attributed the embodiment of Ramrajya's spirit in Ayodhya today to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that it serves as an inspiration for the entire nation.
Additionally, Adityanath praised the development initiatives undertaken in various cities, including Ayodhya, Mathura, Vrindavan, Prayagraj, Shravasti, Naimish Tirtha, Kashi, and Kushinagar, under PM Modi's guidance. He assured that there is ample funding available for these development projects and emphasized the government's commitment to utilizing public funds effectively for progress.
On the occasion of the completion of nine years of the Modi government, CM Adityanath urged party members to engage in a door-to-door campaign to highlight the government's achievements, with the aim of securing another victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2024 elections.
During his visit to Ayodhya, the Chief Minister met with Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, at Karsevakpuram, as well as Mahant Nritya Gopal Das at Maniram Das Chavani.
