Petrol prices fall by 18 paise in Delhi, diesel cut by 16 paise; Check revised rates in your city

Fuel prices continued to ease further on Friday with both petrol and diesel rates reduced by 18 paise and 16 paise respectively in the national capital.

Petrol, diesel price today: Amid the falling global crude oil prices and strengthening of Indian currency against the US dollar, fuel prices continued to ease further on Friday with both petrol and diesel rates reduced by 18 paise and 16 paise respectively in the national capital. Petrol is now being retailed at Rs 77.10 per litre in Delhi whereas diesel costs Rs 71.93. Meanwhile, petrol is retailing 18 paise lower at Rs 82.62 per litre and diesel at Rs 75.36 after a decrease of 17 paise in Mumbai. On November 14, petrol and diesel price were unchanged after witnessing a regular decrease since the past few weeks. Fuel prices have not increased for a month now. So far in November itself, petrol prices have been cut by Rs 2 per litre while diesel has become cheaper by Rs 1.60 across all the metro cities of the country. Fuel prices had been reduced in other metro cities of the country citing a big ease to commuters' pockets. The revised rates are mentioned below: Delhi Petrol - Rs 77.10/litre Diesel - Rs 71.93/litre Mumbai Petrol - Rs 82.62/litre Diesel - Rs 75.36/litre Kolkata Petrol - Rs 79.21/litre Diesel - Rs 73.95/litre Bengaluru Petrol - Rs 77.90/litre Diesel - Rs 72.48/litre Chennai Petrol - Rs 80.26/litre Diesel - Rs 76.19/litre Ahmedabad Petrol - Rs 74.41/litre Diesel - Rs 75.32/litre Now customers can easily get the updated indicative petrol and diesel prices in any city across the country. One can log into the IOCL app on mobile to get the details or can also send an SMS with text - “RSP Dealer Code of Petrol Pump” – and send it to 92249 92249. As per a recent report by news agency Reuters, front-month Brent crude oil futures were trading at $65.90 per barrel at 0254 GMT, down 22 cents, or 0.3 per cent, from their last close. Even the US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were at $55.95, down 30 cents, or 0.5 per cent. Fuel prices were last increased on 16 October. Since then daily prices have either remained static or have decreased. Including today’s cut, fuel prices have come down by almost 15 per cent after witnessing a relentless hike in October burning a hole in the common commuter’s pocket. On October 4, petrol prices touched an all-time high of Rs 84 per litre in Delhi and Rs 91.34 in Mumbai while diesel was at Rs 75.45 in Delhi and Rs 80.10 in Mumbai. Between mid-August and early October, the petrol price was hiked by Rs 6.86 per litre and diesel by Rs 6.73.
