Petrol, Diesel Prices Slashed After 4-Day Hiatus; Check Rates In Delhi, Mumbai & Other Metro Cities
Rates have been reduced across the country and vary from state to state depending on the local incidence of taxation (VAT).
New Delhi: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Tuesday reduced petrol and diesel prices after a hiatus of four days, making it third-time slashing of rates on the backdrop of softening international oil prices.
As per reports, petrol price was reduced by 22 paise per litre and diesel by 23 paise per litre on March 30.

Post this, Delhi was quoting a petrol price of Rs 90.56 per litre, down 22 paise from yesterday while Diesel in the city was priced at Rs 80.87 per litre, down 23 paise from yesterday.
Like in Mumbai, petrol was being retained at 96.98, highest in the country. Meanwhile, Diesel in the country’s financial capital costs Rs 87.96 per litre.
Rates have been reduced across the country and vary from state to state depending on the local incidence of taxation (VAT).
It is to be noted that petrol and diesel prices are fixed on the basis of freight charges, local taxes, and VAT.

Mohali (Punjab): Petrol prices – Rs 92.45 per litre; Diesel prices – 83.43 per litre
Prices of petrol and diesel were last revised upwards on February 27 and post that rates remained largely unchanged ahead of the state polls.
