With mercury gradually dropping, the political temperatures are set to rise in the national capital as the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party prepares to corner Congressl-led Opposition over the report of the Ethics Committee on TMC MP Mahua Moitra in the 'cash-for-query' case.

Among the bills listed to be tabled in the Lower House of the Parliament, the report by Lok Sabha Ethics Committee into the allegation of the case is also included. Ahead of the Monday session of the Parliament, leaders of the Opposition I.N.D.I.A. bloc will sit together for a meeting in the chamber of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge to chalk out their strategy in both the Houses, reported PTI quoting sources.

Among the bills that are slated to be tabled in the House during the Winter Session include the new bills to replace the IPC, Criminal Penal Code and the Evidence Act besides the bill on appointment of the chief election commissioner and other election commissioners.

The meeting was attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Gaurav Gogoi and Pramod Tewari, TMC leaders Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Derek O'Brien and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Fouzia Khan, among others.
