Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to deliver his response on Tuesday evening to the ongoing debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President's address, news agency PTI reported on Monday citing sources. The debate began in the Lok Sabha this morning and is scheduled to continue until late Monday night. Prior to PM Modi's response, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 9:30 AM at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building.
As per the report, the proceedings are likely to conclude by Tuesday evening, following which Modi will address the House.
The Motion of Thanks debate, originally scheduled for Friday, faced delays due to disruptions caused by the Opposition concerning the NEET exam paper leak issue.
NDA Parliamentary Meeting Tomorrow At 9:30 AM
In parallel, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party will convene tomorrow in the national capital. The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 AM at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building. The BJP-led NDA secured a third consecutive term in office following the recent Lok Sabha elections, winning 240 seats, a decrease from its 2019 tally of 303. The Congress party secured 99 seats, while the NDA as a whole clinched 293 seats against the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc's 234.
On Monday, the Lok Sabha witnessed major uproar over remarks made by Rahul Gandhi, leading to accusations from the BJP of insulting the Hindu community. Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah criticised Gandhi, demanding an pologu for his remarks.
During his participation in the Motion of Thanks debate on the President's Address, Rahul Gandhi criticised the BJP-led government, alleging a systematic attack on the core principles of India.
