New Delhi: The Indian Army officials have identified the terrorist killed in the Kupwara encounter on Saturday as Pakistan’s Mohd. Shabbir Malik. The officials have also recovered an AK-47 rifle and seven grenades from the encounter spot, news agency ANI reported.

The officials also reiterated that this proves that Pakistan engages in cross-border terror. The search operation is ongoing in the region as the army suspects that there might be more infiltrators hiding.

“In breach of ongoing ceasefire b/w India & Pak across LoC, infiltration or BAT action was attempted in the Keran sector, Kupwara on Jan 1.
