Pak Terror-Module: Mumbai Police Detain Travel Agent Who Booked Ticket Of Accused Terrorist

The man detained by the Mumbai Police and Crime Branch allegedly booked a train ticket for the accused terrorist Jaan Mohammed Shaikh for Delhi.

Mumbai: In less than 24 hours since the Delhi Police's Special Cell busted a massive Pakistan-operated terror module by arresting six men, Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch have detained a travel agent in connection with the same case. 

The man detained by the Mumbai Police and Crime Branch allegedly booked a train ticket for the accused terrorist Jaan Mohammed Shaikh for Delhi on September 13, the initial probe revealed. 

Mumbai Police swung into action soon after a major terror plot was busted by the Delhi Police Special Cell and other state police departments on Tuesday. 

As per reports, the travel agent is being interrogated by the Mumbai Police officials and so far they have learned that the man and Jaan Mohammed Shaikh both are residents of Dharavi in Mumbai. 

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has called for a meeting on the matter. The meeting will be attended by Maharashtra ATS Chief, DGP Sanjay Pandey and Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale, Wasle told reporters earlier in the day.  

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Mumbai Police have raided and begun grilling the family of the terror suspect Jaan Mohammed Shaikh who was nabbed by the Special Cell of Delhi Police yesterday, news agency IANS reported. 

Pakistan-Based Terror Module Busted By Delhi Police

In a massive operation by the Delhi Police, Shaikh, 47, alias 'Samir Kaalia' was arrested on Tuesday afternoon along with five others suspected terrorists, who are allegedly part of a Pakistan-backed terror module which included two trained by the ISI.

The terrorists' cell busted by the Delhi Police was allegedly planning to carry out blasts in different parts of the country, especially during the festive season and create disturbances ahead of the upcoming polls in different states.

According to reports, Shaikh was given the responsibility to deliver bombs, weapons and grenades to various groups in the country to carry out attacks. Shaikh is believed to be close to Anees Ibrahim Kaskar, the younger sibling of the most wanted and fugitive mafia don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar.
