Opposition Party Meet: The stage is being set for the crucial electoral battle of 2024 and opposition parties are preparing to put forth a united front in a bid to defeat the BJP-led NDA alliance. To strategies the same, the opposition's I.N.D.I.A block will hold its third meeting in Mumbai from Aug 31-Sept 1 where some critical decisions are likely to be taken. As of now, there has been no clarity on who could be made the convenor. Now, responding to a question if he could be the one, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he doesn't want to become anything and his only wish is to bring everyone together.


"I don't want to become anything. I have been telling you this again and again. I have no such desire. I just want to unite everyone..," Kumar told reporters on Monday.






On Sunday, the Bihar CM confirmed that he would be attending the meet and added that there was nothing personal that he wished for. Notably, Kumar had many times denied that he wish to become the Prime Minister, saying that he is not seeking anything personal from the bloc.






 


I.N.D.I.A Alliance Logo To Be Unveiled On August 31


In another update, the logo of the united opposition alliance — Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, or I.N.D.I.A — will be released at its next meeting to be held in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1. As per the latest information, the design of the logo of the opposition bloc will be based on the lines of the acronym, sources said.


The alliance will also decide on the names of the 11 members of the coordination committee that will be formed to oversee the working of the bloc. However, it is unclear if the committee coordinator/convenor will be chosen at this meeting.


Speaking on the logo, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said that it would be very inspiring for the countrymen.






"The logo of INDIA opposition bloc is very inspiring for the citizens of India. It will be unveiled at 7 pm on August 31 when all leaders will arrive for the third joint meeting of the alliance in Mumbai," Raut said.
