New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly-inducted government recruits via video conferencing at the Rozgar Mela.
Addressing the event, PM Modi referred to the new recruits as 'Amrit Rakshaks.' "I congratulate all of you on becoming the 'Amrit Rakshaks' of the people of India in this Amrit Kaal."
Notably, the Rozgar Mela initiative was launched in October last year and Tuesday's event was held at 45 centers.
"This time, Rozgar Mela is being organised at a time when the nation is filled with pride and self-confidence. Our Chandrayaan and its rover Pragyan are continuously sending historic photos from the Moon," PM Modi said at Rozgar Mela.
The newly-inducted recruits, who have been selected from across the country, will be joining various posts such as constable (general duty), sub-inspector (general duty) and non-general duty cadre positions in various organisations under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the PMO statement further said.
It is to be noted that MHA aims to recruit personnel in central armed police forces (CAPFs) such as Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Delhi Police, through the Rozgar Mela.
“The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development,” the PMO statement read.
Notably, the new appointees will also get the opportunity to train themselves through the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, which offers over 673 e-learning courses for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format, according to the PMO release.
