Congress president and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday saying he speaks outside the Parliament everywhere but does not speak inside the House on the matter of security breach. Kharge made the remarks as Opposition hit the street against suspension of MPs from both the Houses.

Speaking to reporters, Kharge said they wanted to raise the issue of Parliament's security breach in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and demand statement from the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Central government.

"Unfortunately neither Amit Shah nor PM Modi came to tell as to what happened," Kharge said.

"What he was supposed to speak in Parliament, leaving that, PM Modi spoke in Varanasi, Ahmedabad, on television but not in Parliament," said the Congress leader.

Kharge also said the Opposition parties will stage a protest at Jantar Mantar on Friday against the suspension of MPs.

The MPs from opposition parties have been demanding a statement from Union home minister Amit Shah on the December 13 Parliament security breach incident. They have been disrupting the proceeding of the house in connection with the same after which as many as 143 MPs have been suspended till now.

49 Lok Sabha MPs were suspended from the House for disrupting proceedings on Tuesday, a day after 78 opposition members were suspended from Parliament.
