Online Or Offline, This Is How You Can Update Mobile Number For Aadhar Card

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made it easy to update mobile number in Aadhaar card this year. Now mobile number can be updated for your Aadhaar without any documents.

Aadhaar Card has become our most important document as several government-related paperwork requires a unique identification number. You can choose either an online or offline method to update your mobile number on your Aadhaar card. Let's know how you can update or link your new mobile number with Aadhaar card online and offline.

Link mobile number with Aadhaar card 

Step 1: To update the mobile number in the Aadhaar card, visit the UIDAI website http://ask.uidai.gov.in/.
Step 2: Enter your phone number and captcha on the home page.
Step 3: Click on send OTP and process it.
Step 4: Submit the OTP received on the phone in the box given on the right of the webpage.
Step 5: You'll see the 'Aadhaar service' written on the web page. 
Step 6: As you click on it you will see all these options like Name, Adhaar card, Address.
Here you can update whatever you want.
Step 7: If you want to update your mobile number or want to link your mobile number with Aadhaar, then fill in the details here and click on 'what do you want to update'.
Step 8: Then submit the mobile number selected Then a new page will open and ask you for the captcha. 
Step 9: Complete this process by sending OTP to your phone number. 
Step 10: Verify the OTP received on your mobile number and click on Save and Proceed.
Don't forget to check the notification before submitting.
Step 11: After this process, book your appointment from the nearest Aadhaar centre from here.
Step 12: Now you have to go to your nearest Aadhaar center and pay an updation fee of Rs 25 here.
In addition, information on updating a mobile number has to be given. 
With this process, your mobile number will be updated or linked.

This is how it will work offline
It is easier to link or update your mobile number to your Aadhaar card offline. For this, you have to carry your Aadhaar card to the nearest Aadhaar centre. Apart from this, corrections in your Aadhaar like photo change, biometric, and e-mail will also be updated without any documents.
