Omicron Cases In India: Night Curfew Timings In Karnataka, Kerala, Delhi & Other States
As a precautionary measure, 10 states so far have introduced curbs that involve night curfew and restrictions on public gatherings keeping in view rising omicron variant cases in India.
New Delhi: India is gearing up against the spread of the omicron variant of coronavirus as cases are on the rise every day. As per Tuesday's official toll, India reported 653 covid cases out of which 186 have been released after being observed.
As a precautionary measure, 10 states so far have introduced curbs that involve night curfew and restrictions on public gatherings keeping in view rising omicron variant cases in India.
Night Curfew Timings & Restrictions
- Delhi: 11 pm to 5 am | From December 27 till further orders by DDMA.
- Uttarakhand: 11 pm to 5 am | From immediate effect December 27 till further orders.
- Uttar Pradesh: 11 pm to 5 am | From December 25 till further orders. Additional implementation of Section 144 in Noida and Lucknow till December 31, 2021.
- Madhya Pradesh: 11 pm to 5 am | From December 23 till further orders by the MP government.
- Karnataka: 10 pm to 5 am | From December 28 till January 7, 2022.
- Kerala: 10 pm to 5 am | From December 30 to January 2, 2022.
- Gujarat: 11 pm to 5 am | From December 25 night curfew in eight cities – Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar, and Junagadh – will be in force from 11 pm to 5 am.
- Assam: 11.30 pm to 6 am | From December 26 till further orders. ASDMA announced this curfew will not be applicable on December 31, 2021.
- Haryana: 11 pm to 5 am | From December 25 till January 5, 2022
- Maharashtra: 9 pm to 6 am | From the intervening night of December 24-25 until further notice.
