New Delhi: Contradicting to the statement of the Aam Aadmi Party, the Tihar jail officials have reportedly said that the man who was providing massage to jailed Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain in a viral CCTV video, is a prisoner of the same Tihar jail and not a physiotherapist.

The masseur man, who is a rape accused, is Rinku who has been charged u/s 6 of POCSO Act & 376, 506 & 509 of IPC, news agency ANI quoted Tihar jail official sources.

The Indian Association of Physiotherapists has earlier denied that Satyendar Jain received physiotherapy, and a sked for an apology for "degrading physiotherapy," news agency ANI reported.

Theassociation's president said, "There is news going on on social media and we have received many complaints from our members. Many physiotherapists all across India that in jail, and one physiotherapy session was given to a patient. And as a professor of physiotherapy and as president of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, we can say that the session going on was not physiotherapy. It is a way of degrading physiotherapy. We strongly condemn this act. We want that the Minister or whosoever should apologise for that."

"I request all physiotherapists in India to write down to the news channels that please don't degrade physiotherapy. This is not physiotherapy. Let's condemn this act and let's move in a direction where we can correct things," the president added as per ANI.

This came after Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister, stated that the viral CCTV video of Jain receiving a full-body massage was "treatment for injury."

Reacting to the whole incident, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal slammed Amit Shah for receiving "VIP treatment".

"They're calling it massage, VIP treatment but it's only physiotherapy. When Amit Shah was minister in Gujarat, he was the one who received VIP treatment here, no such thing for Jain," ANI quoted Kejriwal as saying in Vadodara.
