New Delhi: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday expressed pleasure over completing four and a half years of governance in the state. Addressing media on the occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the past 4.5 years was a “memorable” tenure that was devoted to good governance.


He said that the state machinery as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party has made a coordinated effort under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make achievements in all spheres.

Unveiling a booklet highlighting his government's achievements over the past 4.5 years, the Chief Minister said, "Uttar Pradesh has risen to number two in the national ranking of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in this period."


"Our government has taken the government schemes to all sections with full sincerity. At the time of disaster, the government provided assistance to the people at every level. During the Coronavirus pandemic, 15 crore people were given free ration," said Yogi Adityanath.


Talking about the improved law and order situation in the state, the Uttar Pradesh CM claimd that his government dealt with criminals and mafias with strictness irrespective of their caste, place and religion.


"We put the criminals in jail, confiscated their properties and not a single communal riot took place in Uttar Pradesh in the past four and a half years," the chief minister said.


Yogi Adityanath further attacked the previous governments over welfare schemes and development programs for poor. "In the last 4.5 yrs, we've given houses to 42 lakh poor. In 4.5 years, we've provided over Rs 5 lakh crore via DBT to the people of the state. A total of 4.5 lakh youngsters were given government jobs through a transparent system."
