'No New Cars, Exchange Books & Pens Instead Of Flowers': Tejashwi's 6 Do's For RJD Legislators
The 32-year-old leader also urged the RJD ministers to be courteous towards everyone, and promote the traditional way of salutation.
New Delhi: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday issued a series of instructions to the newly inducted ministers of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the state cabinet. Of the 31 ministers in the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar cabinet, 16 are from the RJD.
Sharing the order on Facebook, Yadav listed a number of do’s and don’t’s for the ministerial colleagues of his party.
The first instruction reads, “Ministers made of Rashtriya Janata Dal quota in the government will not buy any new car for themselves in the department.”
The 32-year-old leader also urged the RJD ministers to be courteous towards everyone, and promote the traditional way of salutation.
“Rashtriya Janata Dal's ministers will not let any activist, well-wishers, supporters or any other person touch their feet in age. We will promote the tradition of salutations, namaste and adab by folding hands for manners and greetings,” reads the second point.
“All ministers are requested to have gentle and decent behaviour with everyone and the conversation remain positive. Will help poor and needy people of all caste/religion with simplicity on the basis of relentless priority,” was Tejashwi’s third request.
He also encouraged the idea of exchanging books and pens instead of flowers and bouquets.
“Will promote book pen exchange instead of gift bouquet/bouquet pickup from someone. And will continue to urge this intent,” was his fourth instruction.
He further said, “Will promote honesty, transparency, readiness and quick implementation work style under the leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister in all departmental works.”
In his sixth and final request, the Deputy Chief Minister urged the ministers to share their work plans and development works on the social media so that the public can get positive information about the work done by them.
It is to be noted that Tejashwi’s requests come as an attempt to get rid of the ‘Jungle Raj’ tag being used by BJP to criticise the rainbow alliance in the state.
