MPs of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Wednesday stood in Rajya Sabha while taking part in the Question Hour to support the chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and against the Opposition MPs over TMP MP's act of mimicking Dhankar. Union Minister Palhad Joshi condemned the act of the TMC leader and said that Rahul Gandhi was recording while another leader was mimicking the Upper House Chairman.

Joshi said that NDA MPs would stand and take part in House proceedings to express respect and support to Dhankar and against the opposition leaders' act. On Tuesday, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee mimicked Dhankhar while sitting outside along with other MPs who were protesting against the suspension of 141 MPs in Parliament.

Union Minister Palhad Joshi also said that the opposition insulted the President because she is a tribal woman, they insulted PM Narendra Modi because he belongs to a poor family.

On Tuesday, 141 MPs were suspended from remaining of the winter session for disrupting proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

Meanwhile, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee said, "I have never had any intention to hurt anyone...Does he really behave like this in Rajya Sabha? Mimicry was done by the PM in Lok Sabha between 2014-2019..."
