Gaya Naxal Attack: Four people of the same family were hanged to death late on Saturday night in Manuwar village of Dumaria in Bihar's Gaya. The attack was reportedly carried out by Naxals.
Dumaria is a highly naxal-affected area of the district. It is being reported that banned Naxalite organization, CPI-Maoists blew up two houses with dynamite. The attack is said to be a 'retaliation' for an operation carried out by police last week.
On March 16, 2021, four members of the Naxalites were killed by the police in an encounter between the police and the Naxalites. Amresh Kumar, Sita Kumar, Shivpujan Kumar, and Uday Kumar were killed in this.
Describing this incident as a conspiracy, the Naxalites have carried out this incident 'in retaliation for the murder of their comrades'.
In retaliation for the same incident, Sarju Singh Bhokta's house was blown up with dynamite late on Saturday night. At the same time, both sons of Sarju Singh Bhokta, Satendra Singh Bhokta and Mahendra Singh Bhokta, along with wife and another woman have been hanged to death.
"In Manubar village of Dumaria, around 20-25 Naxals hanged 4 villagers, bombed their house & shouted death slogans. Earlier, they came in March to threaten," said Jairam Singh Bhokta, a villager of Dumaria to ANI.
At the same time, after the incident, CRPF, Cobra, Gaya SSP Aditya Kumar, City SP Rakesh Kumar have reached the spot. A search operation is being conducted by sealing the entire area. Senior Superintendent of Police, Aditya Kumar told that this action has been taken by the Naxalites to create disturbance in the Panchayat elections.
It is being told that the Naxalites had considered this family responsible for the encounter with the police last week. The Naxalites suspected that information about the Naxalites was given from this family itself.
