Mumbai: The Bangur Nagar police found the body of a model woman named Mansi Dixit was found in a bag in suburban Malad Monday afternoon. According to the police, the body of the 23-year-old model was found stuffed in a travelling bag left at Mindspace, a commercial hub, in Malad (West). It is said that Dixit hailed from Kota, Rajasthan, and had been living in Andheri from 6 months.


The police were able to arrest the accused Sayyed Muzammil within 3 hours with the help of CCTV but the reason for killing is still not known. The accused is said to be a student from Hyderabad and lives in Mumbai’s Oshiwara. It is reported that on Monday morning, Manasi met Sayyed at his Oshiwara flat. The two had a fight and in a fit of rage, Sayyed hit her with a rod on her head. Due to the injury, she died.

The accused then took a cab from Malad bank street and told the driver to stop near Khadi area. He later changed his mind and took a rickshaw instead and left. The body was then dumped in a rexin bag by the accused.

Sensing something wrong, the same taxi driver spotted the bag and called the police.

The police believe the two had an affair.
