Vistara's Mumbai-Kolkata Flight Faces Severe Turbulence Before Landing; At Least 8 Injured, 3 Taken To Hospital
Mumbai-Kolkata flight Turbulence: Passengers onboard the Mumbai-Kolkata flight had a narrow escape from grave danger as the aircraft faced severe turbulence 15 minutes before landing at the Kolkata airport.
Kolkata: Vistara Flight UK775 operating from Mumbai to Kolkata on Monday faced severe turbulence 15 minutes before the landing. The incident led to at least 8 passengers suffering injuries.
The injured passengers were given first aid during the flight and medical assistance upon arrival in Kolkata. Vistara Spokesperson stated that the airline is investigating the incident on priority.

Passengers onboard the Mumbai-Kolkata flight had a narrow escape from grave danger as the aircraft faced severe turbulence 15 minutes before landing at the Kolkata airport.
According to early inputs, at least 8 were injured and 3 of the injured passengers were taken to a private hospital in the city.
An elderly passenger suffered a dislocation of the shoulder. A woman is suspected to have a right arm fracture and another passenger suffered injury on his forehead, sources revealed.
Other passengers are reported to be safe.
"Today Vistara flight UK 775, MUM-KOL, experienced Turbulance enroute and landed at KOL safely at 1625hrs. Due to turbulence, three passengers are injured critically and 5 passengers had minor injuries, inside the aircraft," the official notification read.
"Upon landing, immediate medical assistance was provided. The critically injured were sent to Charnock Hospital by AAI ambulance and Charnock ambulance. Others were sent to their destination after giving first aid," it added.
