Mumbai: Congress MLA receives lewd messages on mobile phone
Mumbai, Maharashtra: Congress MLA Varsha Gaikwad has accused an unknown person of sending her lewd messages on her mobile phone on Monday.
Gaikwad, who was shocked to see the messages on her phone, registered a case in Wadala Truck Terminal Police Station on Monday afternoon.
The police registered a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 354 against unknown person. Last week, Shiv Sena leader Neelam Gorkhe also registered a complaint with the Mumbai Police after receiving threats of rape and murder on her phone.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shaina NC also registered a case against unidentified person after getting lewd messages on phone but later the police arrested the accused, a BJP activist from Varanasi.
