Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid the ongoing dispute with China, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday said Beijing would not have the guts to take our land if the Prime Minister of India would have focused on the key issues at hand instead of hollowing out India by helping his crony capitalist friends.
“China is expanding its occupation into Indian territory. Mr 56” hasn’t said the word ‘China’ for months. Maybe he can start by saying the word ‘China’,” he tweeted. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said India’s strength is a strong economy, employed youth and social harmony.
“Had Mr Modi protected our farmers-labourers-workers instead of hollowing out India by helping his crony capitalist friends, China wouldn’t have had the guts to take our land,” he added.

The Congress leader’s outburst against the government came following reports of a clash between the Indian and Chinese troops at Naku La in Sikkim border three days ago.

As per reports, a brawl ensued between the two sides after a patrolling party of the Chinese troops attempted to intrude across to the Indian side. Several Chinese soldiers received injuries following the incident. There were a few injuries on the Indian side too.
Earlier on Sunday, India and China held a 16-hour long marathon military dialogue that ended at after 2 a.m. on Monday to resolve the ongoing nine-month-long border dispute and thinning of forces along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), IANS reports.
The ninth Corps Commander-level talks between both sides took place at the Moldo Meeting point in Ladakh region.
