New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to the poll-bound state of Himachal Pradesh flagged of India’s fourth Vande Bharat train in Una. The people of Una welcomed PM Modi with 'Modi-Modi, Sher Aaya" slogans.






In a video posted by the news agency ANI, people of Una can be seen raising slogans of 'Modi-Modi, Sher Aaya" as they welcomed PM Modi. This is the fourth Vande Bharat train in the country, the other three being run between New Delhi - Varanasi and New Delhi - Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and between Gandhinagar and Mumbai.


The train will be running from Amb Andaura to New Delhi. It is an advanced version compared to the earlier ones, being much lighter and capable of reaching higher speed in a shorter duration.


After flagging off the Vande Bharat train in Una, PM Modi said that the BJP govt at the Cetre is fulfilling the needs of the people which previous governments at the Centre and Himachal Pradesh failed to understand.

He also said that the double-engine govt will invest Rs 2,000 crore in Bulk Drug Park in HP's Una. Medicines will become cheaper when both raw materials and production will take place in Himachal Pradesh, PM added. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union minister, and Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur were present during the event.


PM Modi during his visit to Himachal Pradesh also dedicated the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una to the nation and laid the foundation stone of Bulk Drug Park in Una.
