New Delhi: Terrrorist group Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed that Irfan Ahmed Dar, Special Police Officer of J&K Police, has joined its outfit. Dar had gone missing after reportedly leaving from Pampore police station with an AK-47 rifle.

The SPO went missing last evening.

In a tele-statement issued to KNS, a news agency, the Operational Spokesman of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Burhan-u-Din said “SPO Irfan Ahmad Dar a resident of Nehama Kakapora of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district who fled with the rifle has joined Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.”



Hizbul’s Field Operational Commander Mohammad Bin Qasim alias Yasin Hittu has also appealed to all Jammu and Kashmir police cadres to give up their job and join Hizb-ul-Mujahideen to give a push to the resistance struggle.

The Hizbul claim has not yet been authenticated by the security forces so far.

Another report from Pulwama came this morning of two PSOs being brutally assaulted by terrorists after being kidnapped. The two were later released. The two incident are signs that the terrorists have specifically targetting police officials in the region.

Earlier during the day, security forces arrested four overground workers of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant outfit from Sopore area.
