New Delhi: In the national capital Delhi, ahead of the important MCD elections that is being seen as a barometer of power among political parties, an opinion poll conducted by ABP News-C Voter has revealed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will receive the mandate of the people of the Delhi in all the three wings of the MCD.



In Delhi MCD, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation each have 104 municipal wards and the smaller East Delhi Municipal Corporation contains 64 wards.

Early trends, thus, point to the fact that the saffron party is set to continue its winning momentum from the recently Assembly elections in five states.



For the civic polls, the total number of electorate stands at 1,32,10,206, which include 73,15,915 men, 58,93,418 women and 793 voters in the other category, the state election commission had said.

Over 1.10 lakh people, this time, are eligible to exercise their franchise for the first time in the upcoming high-stakes polls.



The MCD election is scheduled for 23 April and the result would be declared on 26 April.
