Former PM, who is a Rajya Sabha member and a renown economist, has served as the Prime Minister of India during UPA 1 and UPA 2 rule from 2004-2014. One of greatest stalwarts of the grand old party, Singh is widely praised for bringing major reforms to the nation’s economy in 1990s when he was the Finance Minister in PV Narasimha Rao’s cabinet. During his time as finance minister between 1991 and 1996, Singh was often credited for bringing dramatic revolution in country's economic policies. His 1991 budget introduced significant reforms that liberalised country's economy and opened it up to the rest of the world, setting it on a course of rapid growth.Birthday greetings to Dr Manmohan Singh Ji, former Prime Minister of India. May you have a long and healthy life ahead
