Much to the astonishment of the locals in Jhargram, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was seen serving pakodas to people at a tea stall on Tuesday. She stopped her convoy on the roadside to serve pakodas to the people.

In a video shared by ANI, Bengal CM can be seen serving the fritters to the locals in a roadside tea stall.

The incident happened when Banerjee was returning after attending a tribal outreach programme in Jhargram. At the rally, she urged the Centre to release the state's pending debts or else the state may have to stop paying the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to the Union government.

CM Mamata Banerjee also participated in the cultural programme hosted in the tribal-dominated area of Jhargram, where she was seen trying her hands on the drums. Moreover, she also performed their traditional dance along with the other performers.

This is not the first time she has been seen serving food to the locals from roadside shops. Earlier, in July 2022, she had made 'pani puris' at a roadside stall in Darjeeling and served the lip-smacking snack to the tourists visiting the hill.

On her previous visit to Darjeeling, she surprised the locals by making the popular Tibetan food 'momo' at a roadside stall. In 2019, while returning to Kolkata from the sea resort town of Digha, she prepared tea at a stall and served it to the people.
