Yoga Break In Offices
Earlier also, the Ministry of AYUSH had launched several campaigns to promote Yoga. In November last year, the Ministry of AYUSH wrote to all departments of the government to give a 'Yoga Break' to give the employees a relief from the stress of working in the office throughout the day.
The ministry believed that this break would relieve the fatigue of the employees and give them new energy to work. The Ministry of AYUSH sent letters to all ministries asking them to encourage employees to take 'Yoga breaks'. A ministry official said the 'yoga break' was first implemented in six major metro cities in January last year based on a pilot project.
The five-minute break was given to introduce the employees to Yogasanas. The purpose of the short routine was to reduce work-related stress and make employees feel fresh at work.
