BJP Colaba candidate Rahul Narvekar on Thursday said that the BJP wave all across India will help the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance win more than 220 seats out of 288 in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Speaking to ANI, Narvekar said," BJP-Shiv Sena together will win more than 20 seats. There is a BJP wave all across India. We will win." According to ANI, Narwekar is leading with 21,000 votes against his Congress rival Ashok Arjunrao who has got 12,204 votes.

The BJP and it ally Shiv Sena are continuing to surge in Maharastra with leads on 99 and 60 assembly constituencies, respectively, as counting of votes is underway, according to official trends of Election Commission (EC).

On the other hand, Congress party is also claiming to form government in Haryana at any cost. Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi has spoken to senior Congress leader and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to discuss all possibilities of forming government.

Haryana state Congress president Kumari Selja also stated that the party will form government in Haryana “at any cost”, leading to speculations that the party may offer the post of CM to Chautala, repeating what it did in Karnataka after elections in 2018.

As per the trends, the Jannayak Janta Party will be in the role of kingmaker, with both Congress and BJP failing to reach a majority mark.

As per sources, the Congress party is in touch with the JJP and other independent candidates.
