New Delhi: As the counting of votes for Haryana Assembly elections 2019 is underway, Jannayak Janta Party chief Dushyant Singh Chautala asserted that the key to power in Haryana lies with his party.


In Haryana, where a tough fight is witnessed between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress, Dushyant’s party JJP looks ahead to the role of the kingmaker.

As counting for the crucial polls began, Chautala asserted that neither the BJP, nor Congress will get more than 40 seats in the 90-seat assembly.

“Neither BJP, nor Congress will win more than 40 seats. The key to power lies in JJP’s hands,” Chautala said.

In the initial rounds of counting on Thursday morning, BJP was leading on majority of seats in Haryana, however, in the ensuing rounds, the Congress made up for loss, and was seen giving a neck and neck fight to the BJP.

Responding to the trends, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that “Congress will form government in the state.”

The counting of votes for 90 assembly seats is underway in Haryana.

Earlier, the ABP News- C Voter exit poll predicted a landslide victory for BJP in Haryana.

The Exit Poll predicted that the saffron party will clinch 70 of the 90 seats in the assembly. The Congress continuing its dismal run is projected to win mere 8 seats, while other parties are limited to 12 seats.
