Madhya Pradesh policemen to donate one day salary for Kerala flood relief fund
The deadliest deluge in Kerala in close to a century has claimed many lives.
NEW DELHI: The police personnel of Madhya Pradesh will donate 1 day's salary to the Kerala flood relief fund. DGP of Madhya Pradesh on Twitter announced – “MP Police donates Rs. 1.31 Cr to Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. Further all police personnel of MP will donate 1 day's salary for the same purpose.”
Earlier, many chief ministers like Telangana deputy chief minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh, Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that they will donate their salaries to Kerala flood victims. The deadliest deluge in Kerala in close to a century has claimed many lives. Further, a body blow has been dealt by the scenic state, with its infrastructure, standing crops and tourism facilities severely hit. Over 314,000 people have been moved to relief camps. As per reports, in an initial assessment of the damage by the Kerala government has pegged the losses at over Rs 1,900 crore.#MPPolice donates Rs. 1.31 Cr to Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.
