A police commissioner's court in Madhya Pradesh's Indore ordered three teenagers involved in vehicle vandalism to abstain from alcohol and drugs for a year, news agency PTI reported on Friday (May 5). After hearing the case, the court of police commissioner Makrand Deuskar issued the order on Wednesday against Jeet Chauhan alias Aloo (19), Raj Karole (19), and Saurabh Tilve (23) under the Madhya Pradesh State Security Act 1990.

The order also required the three men to appear in front of the police from 9 pm to 11 pm every day for the next 21 days at Khalsa Square in the Lasudia area.

The trio smashed the windows of vehicles parked in the Lasudia area a few days ago with stones, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Suraj Verma said on Friday. They also filmed the act and circulated the videos on social media.

"Investigations revealed that the accused had performed the act in an inebriated state in order to establish their dominance in the area," Verma was quoted as saying by PTI.

In another shocking incident, six members of a family, including three women, were shot dead after a land dispute turned violent in the state's Morena district. Two other men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The incident was captured on video, and it showed several men carrying rifles shooting at an unarmed group of people who had been thrashed with wooden sticks.

The incident occurred around 10 am in Lepa village, 50 to 60 kilometres from the district headquarters, between Dheer Singh Tomar and Gajendra Singh Tomar's families.

In 2013, the two families fought over waste disposal. Dheer Singh Tomar's family was killed, and Gajendra Singh Tomar's family fled the village. Outside of court, the two families had reconciled, and the latter's family had returned to the village today. Dheer Singh Tomar's family allegedly launched a pre-planned attack with sticks and opened fire on them.
