Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Performs 'Mahamrityunjaya Jaap' For Long Life Of PM Modi
A day after the security lapse issue, the Madhya Pradesh CM performed the 'Mahamrityunjaya Jaap' at the Gufa Mandir in Bhopal
New Delhi: A day after a major security lapse due to which the convoy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stuck on a flyover in Punjab, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday performed the 'Mahamrityunjaya Jaap' at the Gufa Mandir in Bhopal praying for the long life of the Prime Minister.
Talking about the security lapse issue, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that there is anger and concern in the minds of the people in Madhya Pradesh like the people all over the country as to how the security of a Prime Minister, who has built a glorious, prosperous and prestigious India, could be taken so lightly. The PM's security was purposely put in danger, Chouhan said.
Prayer for PM Modi's long life
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "I am surprised over the matter. I have been the chief minister for 15 years, and when the previous Prime Minister would come here, we would be worried over his security. We would accompany him at all times. If someone raised a finger at the then Prime Minister, we would respond. I had told in America that our Prime Minister is the pride of the country, but political resentment has taken such a turn that the Prime Minister's life was played with. The circumstances under which he was stuck on the flyover, it is only by God's grace that he is safe. I want to ask Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi that is this how political hatred should be? Such an approach towards the Prime Minister in a Congress-ruled state means reducing the federal structure of our country to bits and pieces."
'Messing around with the PM's security means messing with the country'
Chouhan further added that he is praying to God and thanking him over the safety of PM Modi. "There were prayers and Mahamritunjya Jaap in various temples across the state for the Prime Minister's long and healthy life. We are also praying that God gives right sense to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi so that they do not act in a way that becomes critical for the country. Messing around with PM Modi's life is like messing with the security of the country. Do not try to put the country in trouble."
